What do you want to change?


That is the most important question when it comes to thinking about what your ideal lifestyle is. When making lifestyle design decisions, you have to examine what exactly it is that you want to change. Everyone has things they want to change that are tied to their goals. Change is the most important aspect. When you think about something you want to change stop and ask yourself “what is stopping me and why haven’t I changed this already?” This exercise gives you your blocker and answers why you feel stuck. This is where you need to focus.

I have a lot of things I work on personally and professionally. I also have a long list of things I want and wanted to change. Basically, they take many things I don’t have a surplus of. Why not? The answer is short and obvious. I am spending my time doing things that are not those. I started focusing on the blocker, the lack of time. I focused on what was stopping me from having extra time. I realized that I was sleeping in too late and needed to start getting up earlier. I was able to get passed my blocker by getting rid of all excuses as to why I wasn’t waking up earlier to begin with. I was the reason that I was stuck.

Where is all of my time going? Why am I allowing my time to be wasted? I am only blocking myself causing me to get stuck. I didn’t have a plan and I wasn’t focused on what I wanted to change. You can’t get to the goals and the lifestyle that you want if you don’t focus on the things that you need to CHANGE. Also, focus on what is stopping or blocking you from that change.
