        How you start your day sets the tone for your entire day.  There is a reason that people say “woke up on the wrong side of the bed.”  It is because the way your day begins impacts your whole day.  A powerful, positive routine in the morning can set you on the path to a great day.  It needs to be positive and fun so that you look forward to it and it is easy to keep doing.

        My morning routine starts with getting up early.  No matter what I have planned, I get up at 6:30am so that I have ample time to get ready for my day.  Starting the day rushing or being late can cause you to be drained before your  day even starts.  Once I get out of bed, I start with a brisk walk with my dog.  We cover 1.5 to 2 miles every morning of every day.  When I get home I turn up the radio and sing some of my favorite songs in the shower.  This sets the tone of my day each day so that I have a positive mood and low stress. The way I start my day puts me in the best position to get things done, stick to my routines, be friendly, and feel great.
