Have you ever thought about how much time you waste in a day? A week? Or even in a year? Whether it’s forgetting why you started, being stressed out, working too much, or going out every night, there’s always something that pops up to deter you from doing what you want. When you don’t have clear plan, it’s really easy to waste time and lose focus on what you want to achieve. Do ever you ask yourself…“I really should be doing something more productive?” or ”wow, I’m totally wasting time right now.” Everyone has these thoughts and everyone has projects that they just don’t seem to get around to tackling…

Hey, I’m Chris, the founder of Tiskr, a new lifestyle design platform. Tiskr was created help you get more free time so you can do what you really want, even if you haven’t figured out what that is yet! To create Tiskr, I’ve spent years studying what works, reviewing data, being my own guinea pig, and learning from experts in the field of psychology, entrepreneurship, personal development, motivation and success. I did the work, now I want you to see how easy it is to design your life with Tiskr!

How it began

First, I started with improving myself and focusing on my goals before coaching clients through their goals. In the process, I’ve found some interesting solutions, that will keep you motivated, keep you on target in order to bring more happiness and productivity to your unique lifestyle.

So….one day, many years ago, I woke up at 2pm in the afternoon after a late night. As I looked at the clock on my phone, I realized that I had wasted half of the day and had not accomplished anything. I had so many goals for personal and professional improvement, but I wasn’t working on any of them. I felt like i didn’t have the time for them, BUT, I knew I wanted to find a way.

Here was my initial list:

  • Get in shape
  • Wake up earlier
  • Work on my passion projects
  • Get organized
  • Save money

How much time am I wasting?

My first idea was to get organized so I could see how much time I really had. I started to notice that my meetings were on my calendar, my to-do lists were on post it notes, and my fun stuff was on FaceBook. I realized, for my time I needed have a plan, a trackable plan. I knew that there was a lot I could do to improve myself and so I started with adding one small habit every day that moved me toward one of my goals.

I started really small, so I could feel like I was tackling a goal everyday. My first habit was to read 1 page of a book everyday. Now listen, I don’t care how busy you are or little time you have, anyone can find five minutes to read one page of a book…right? Right! So each day, that was my only new goal, “ok Chris, read one page.” So i did, I would read one page, then i figured, how about two, three…. And now I read for hours each week. Spoiler alert, once you get started the habit is born.

Everyday might not be easy, but it will be fun and as I have found with years of practice and expertise in habit formation, goal creation, organization, self motivation, goal setting and other areas of personal development, the hardest part is just starting. I will be sharing some of the methods I have adopted, modified, and sustained to make things easier and more fulfilling in my life. In life, we all need something to get us going. Let Tiskr be the tool you use to get your life going.

I want to hear what you have to say and I can’t wait to share more with you.

-Chris
